Here and there

Hello there, I'm still here. I have come to this place several times over the last couple weeks to write, and get distracted, interrupted or... have just been too tired. We have been busy with nothing and everything, as often seems to be the case. The boys and I have been doing some things around here, and a few big outings. We made a trip down town to the Cockrell butterfly center a few weeks ago. I have been, but never with the boys. It was nice to get out and do something new. Both the boys were really fascinated by the butterflies, and seemed to have a great time at the museum.

We have also been enjoying sometime at the neighborhood pool.

Owen is a little fish. He was so afraid to get in the water last year when swim season started, but with a little patience, and lots of time to practice, he taught himself how to swim. He jumped right back into it this year with no hesitation. He is so proud of himself!

I was interested to see how Elliot would do this year. It took about 5 minutes to find out. The boy has no fear. We went last week, and I spent 1.5 hours catching him and putting him back on the side. He jumps in with full force, goes all the way under and bobs back up with a grin on his face.

I think it will be a fun summer!

I will be back soon with more updates, particularly of our remodeling. The end is in site, and I am starting to get my decorating wheels spinning. So many fun ideas!
